Will the image of YCP change with Konda Reddy’s Arrest?
Will the image of YCP change with Konda Reddy’s Arrest? The Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy(YCP) is facing severe criticism for alleged harassment of party leaders. Many contractors have alleged in the past that they demanded money from leaders by threatening them that they can’t do their business.
Now, a large contractor who had done major works in Karnataka is reportedly being demanded money from a certain Konda Reddy, who is in charge of the YSRCP for Kadapa district. Given the family relationships, the dup has had many questions about whether or not the police would take any action against Konda Reddy.
But Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had learned of this and reportedly ordered the police to take the necessary action. As a result, he was arrested by the police, reportedly alleging that he had threatened a contractor for the work he is doing in Pulivendula.
With the bullying criticism getting bigger and bigger, CM Jagan might have decided the image needs to be changed and so some tough decisions need to be made. One of those decisions is allowing the police to arrest Konda Reddy, who is facing big accusations.
The arrest issue can be seen as a grand statement by the Chief Minister that he would not allow such behavior no matter what. Since his relative was not spared either, the other leaders are expected to change their behavior.
