Shekar shows are canceled; Rajashekar becomes emotional

After a gap of nearly three years, Dr. Rajashekar came up with his new movie, Shekar. Directed by his wife Jeevitha Rajashekar, this movie hit the screens a couple of days ago. Although the movie received decent talk, people are showing no interest in seeing it in theaters.

Meanwhile, he has now gotten into legal trouble. A financier named Ganu Parandhama Reddy filed a case against Jeevitha in court saying that she borrowed money for this movie and still hasn’t paid off the debt.

The City Civil Court examined the case and ordered all showings of the film to stop from 04:30 p.m. m. IST today. Rajashekar was devastated by the decision. He wrote an emotional tweet on the Internet.

“Shekar is everything to me and my family. We work very hard to bring this film to the audience. Shekar was getting a great response, but today Just out of spite, some people have conspired and prevented our film from being shown. Cinema is our life, this film in particular was our hope… I’ve run out of things to say. I can only hope that this film finally gets the visibility and appreciation that it truly deserves.”

Meanwhile, one of the film’s producers, Beeram Sudhakar Reddy, spoke about the case. He said that Jeevitha has not produced the film and that he is the one who financed it.

Sudhakar Reddy stated that he paid full remuneration to both Jeevitha and Rajashekar. He said that someone thought that Jeevitha is the producer of the film and filed a case against her. “If anyone tries to harm my film, I will file a defamation case against them,” he said.
