Ravi Teja ‘Dhamaka’ movie review
Dhamaka movie review: Ravi Teja is a hero who grew up with no Tollywood background and achieved stardom and a separate mass image. He is making movies despite the successes and failures of his career. Ravi Teja, who received a blockbuster like ‘Crack’ last year, was disappointed with Khiladi and Rama Rao on duty. Now he has done ‘Dhamaka’ in the action comedy genre, which suits him well. This movie, which has already raised the expectations of fans with its songs and trailer, was recently released in theaters. Director Trinatha Rao shot this movie starring Srileela as the heroine. And let’s see how the action comedy ‘Dhamaka’ fares in the review!
Story:
Swami (Ravi Teja) belongs to a middle-class family. He loses his job and wanders without a job. A solid mass. At the same time, he falls in love with his sister’s friend, Pranavi (Srilila). At that time, Pranavi’s father (Rao Ramesh) tries to get her married to Anand Chakraborty, the CEO of a famous company. Pranavi, who already liked Swami, is shocked after meeting Anand. Some shocking things about Swami and Anand will be known in this sequence. If cut… Anand’s father Chakraborty (Sachin Khedkar) gets caught in the hands of villain JP (Jayaram). And who is the real Swami and Anand? Who will Pranavi marry? How did Anand save his father from the villain JP? What happened in the end? It has to be seen on the screen.
Analysis:
In general, everyone knows the energy of Mass Raja Ravi Teja. Ravi Teja exploits whether it is a comedy of masses or action. However, after a blockbuster like ‘Crack’, he made two serious films (Khiladi and Rama Rao On Duty films) and put the flops behind him. With this, all the fans hoped to become mass entertainers again. This is a movie made by director Trinatha Rao after movies like Sinema Photsha Maava, Nenu Local, and Hello Guru Premakosame. Trinatha Rao’s regular writer Prasanna Kumar Bejawada provided the script for this Dhamaka film.
Dhamaka film is a routine film made in the mass commercial genre. Ravi Teja’s energy is unusual in commercial movies. In Dhamaka too his character is very energetic. But… it should be noted that there is nothing new in the film in terms of stories. Dhamaka film…introducing the film’s theme song…begins with the character introduction of businessman Chakraborty. The director has grandly introduced the middle-class character Swami (Ravi Teja) along with the villainous character JP (Jayaram) who wants to do good to the people.
After that, the heroine’s entrance into the character of Pranavi… Swami changes for work… Anand Chakraborty, who looks like Swami, enters in the middle… Love track. While all this was going on on one side, on the other side, Chakraborty Company, JP was trying to turn around at intermission by showing anarchy. Ravi Teja’s character in dual roles is entertaining. But… the script was extended to the interval to bring it back to the original story. Well, the interval twist also happens as the audience expected… that’s inconvenient. The shocking twist of the heroine meeting Swami and Anand is not new. Movie Dhamaka is a mix of many commercial action comedy movies.
The creators were unable to present the original story in the second half. And it may have felt good while writing it… but it must be said that the impact of the stories in the film is not much. Notable characters. No newly designed characterizations. In the second half, what the audience expects happens. It seems like unnecessary scenes are inserted in between and stretched to the climax. Somehow, the strong conflict in the story… the point of the story that drives the story… all the twists Hyde made ended up in the first half. With this, they tried to drag the entire second half with only comedy entertainment.
When it comes to the climax, the routine is to tell the villain who sees his father’s company to take over…they forgive him and let him go. The original name of this movie is ‘Sudaigadu 2’ instead of Dhamaka. If it were put like this… at least the audience would expect a new story and script. From the beginning of this movie to the end, there are references to old movies. When there’s grit in the story, people will accept whatever the hero does. All of Ravi Teja’s fights in this… Minus damaging his massive image. Because… Just like the design of Balayya, logic was ignored in this. Dhamaka goes in a flow… but couldn’t connect with the audience till the end.
Performance of Actors – Technicians:
Ravi Teja has done full justice to the characters of Swami and Anand Chakraborty in this film. But… the directors could not bring the novelty that fans expect from Mass Maharaja. Although Srileela Pranavi’s role is adaragotti… this couple didn’t work so much in the romantic scenes. Pranavi has done as well as Srilila in character. But… the downside is that his character doesn’t have priority in the story. Sachin Khedkar is a businessman and Jayaram is a villain. If there is any comedy worth mentioning in this, it is the Rao Ramesh – Hyper Adil episodes. They both laughed as hard as they could. The other characters are also clear.
Technically, we can talk about the cinematography and music in this movie. Karthik Ghattamaneni’s camera work… Cecilio de Bheem’s songs are good. It seems that Dhamaka’s film has not been done justice in terms of script. Because… all the old movies got mixed up and became one. Although there is no novelty in the story, the twists are also predictable. My father-in-law, who shows the film, I did not appear in Prasanna Kumar’s script magical Dhamaka locally. Director Trinatha Rao.. The impact that was said in the promotions.. The seats did not fly in theaters.. The opinion of the audience is that there are no strong scenes in the film. Added a new song at the climax. That’s a surprise.. but that’s not new either.ds
