The Malayalam film ‘Malikapuram‘ made a splash before the Kannada film ‘Kanthara’ created a sensation in terms of collections. This low-budget film has already entered the 100-crore club.

Unni Mukundan Biography

Unni Mukundan is an Indian film actor who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. He was born in Thrissur, Kerala. Unni Mukundan completed his schooling at St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School in Bangalore and pursued a degree in B.Tech from the Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore.

Unni Mukundan began his career as a model and then moved on to acting. He made his acting debut in the Malayalam film industry with the film “Seedan” in 2011. However, he gained recognition for his performance in the film “Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty” in the same year. He then went on to act in films such as “Mallu Singh”, “I Love Me”, “Orissa”, “Vikramadithyan”, “KL10 Pathu”, “Style”, “Achayans”, and “Masterpiece”.

Unni Mukundan has also acted in a few Tamil films like “Bhagyaraj” and “Bruce Lee”. He has won several awards for his acting including the Asianet Film Awards, Kerala State Film Award, and SIIMA Awards.

Unni Mukundan, known to the Telugu audience through the ‘Janata Garage, Bhagamati, Yashoda’ movies, played a major role in this film. Directed by Vishnu Shashi Shankar, the film is streaming on Disney Plus Hot Star starting today (February 15). It is also available in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages. The Telugu dubbed version of the movie Malikapuram is known to have been released in theaters in two Telugu states last month.

Apart from acting, Unni Mukundan is also a trained martial artist and has been practicing Kalaripayattu since he was 16 years old. He is also a fitness enthusiast and is known for his well-toned physique.
