In 2019, Lallu won with a majority of 65,477 votes, or almost 50 percent of the votes. In 2019, out of a total of 1087121 votes, Lallu Singh diverted 529021 votes to his account.
And when it comes to 2024, Lallu Singh has been defeated. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has fielded Avadesh Prasad to oppose Lallu Singh. Earlier, the BSP and SP contested together, but the Congress contested alone. But this time Congress opposed the SP. As a result, BJP candidate Lallusingh lost 5 percent of the votes.

History of Faizabad Lok Sabha
Since Faizabad became the seat of Parliament, Congress has won 7 times, BJP 4 times, Samajwadi Party, BSP, and CPI have won once each. BJP has been winning this seat for two terms.
BJP candidate Lallu Singh won over SP candidate Anand Sen Yadav in the last general election. Lallu Singh got 5.29 lakh votes while Anand got 4.63 lakh votes. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Lallu Singh won from the Faizabad seat over SP candidate Mitrasen Yadav. Lallu Singh got 4.91 lakh votes while Mitrasen got 2.08 lakh votes.

Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency has five assembly segments, four (Daryabad, Rudauli, Bikapur, Ayodhya) are held by the BJP while one (Milkipur) is represented by SP’s Awadhesh Prasad.
In the Faizabad constituency, 84 percent are Hindu voters, while 26 percent are OBC voters. Muslim voters are 13 percent here. A few years ago, the Yogi government changed the name of Faizabad district to Ayodhya district.
