‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’ Movie Review | NewsTodayOnline24

‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’ Movie Review: The handsome young hero Naga Shaurya is struggling to find a hit since ‘Chalo’. Anish Krishna gained fame with ‘Ala Ela’ and has yet to achieve another hit to date. With both teaming up for success, the audience was curious about ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’. This bubbly romantic entertainer has Shirley Setia as the heroine and the promotional content managed to generate a decent buzz. The film is released this Friday after many postponements and allows us to dive into the review right away.

Story:

Krishna (Naga Shaurya) is a young man who comes from an orthodox Brahmin family. He falls in love with Vrinda (Shirley), who is the complete opposite of him in terms of upbringing and way of thinking. Although Vrinda likes Krishna, she keeps away from him knowing that she cannot have children. Knowing that Krishna convinces her that she doesn’t need children, but tells her family that she has some problems regarding having children. They eventually get married, but Krishna’s mother comes to their house in the city, which creates a lot of trouble. How do Krishna and Vrinda manage? What will happen to their relationship? These questions will be answered in the film(‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’).

Analysis:

Director Anish Krishna came quietly with ‘Ala Ela’ and surprised everyone with his easy humor. He managed to impress the audience with the entertainment that was missed in his next two movies ‘Lover’ and ‘Gali Sampath’. He was very disappointed with these two movies, but he went back to his old route for ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’. It managed to bring in a few laughs here and there, but it didn’t manage to reach the levels of its first film. Although the conflict point is good, there is no strong story, and the lack of twists combined with a so-so script made this movie end up as an average performer. There are no high points in this movie, but it’s not a disappointing movie either, which makes it a decent movie to pass the time.

Many writers and directors get emotional over a twist or sticking point and think it’s enough to save the movie. The rest is filled with a couple of comic and romantic scenes. In the end, they add drama hoping it will be enough. This is what Krishna did with this film. Despite a good sticking point, it’s not new or unique. The hero blames himself while the heroine has a health problem and the families get involved, which creates a lot of confusion, it’s a story we’ve seen many times. A few months ago, ‘Ante Sundaraniki’ came with the same plot and was critically acclaimed despite being a commercial failure. Now, Anish Krishna made the same point and the backdrop of the traditional Brahmin family immediately reminds you of Nani’s film. While the father creates trouble there, it is the mother who gets the hero into trouble.

With the movie looking like a copycat of another movie, ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’ does not show original or fresh scenes. The sequences used, such as bells ringing in the hero’s heart at the heroine’s first glimpse, going after her, and the heroine ignoring her but falling for him while watching a fight, give the audience the feeling of watching a routine movie. Despite the routine, it doesn’t bore you and the film progresses at a good pace. The comedy generated through Satya’s character is quite good and the songs are just as good. The lead couple looked great on screen and the romantic scenes definitely appeal to the young audience. The twist during the interval and the fun of Vennela Kishore make the first half a passable romantic drama.

But it’s hard to go through the family drama in the second half. The fights between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law that we saw in many movies were also repeated here and the sentimental scenes remind us of many television series. These scenes test the patience of the audience and the story also lacked high points in the second half. Except for some comedy scenes that worked, the second half reduces the graphic of the film. The climax parts satisfy the audience, making ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’ a passable romantic performer with decent entertainment.

Performances:

Naga Shaurya once again attracted the audience with her good looks and screen presence. There is nothing to criticize in his acting skills and he showed great ease in many scenes. His actions during the emotional scenes was also good and all he needs is a good story and character to make an impression.

The new heroine Shirley Setia impresses with her cuteness. She looks different from normal heroines and the character suited her. His acting is decent. Radhika fits the bill perfectly as the mother of the orthodox hero. His character irritates you a little, but he managed it very well. Vennela Kishore, Satya, Brahmaji, and others entertained whenever they appeared on the screen. Rahul Ramakrishna is fine.

Technicians:

People can’t expect a ‘Chalo’ level album every time Naga Shaurya and Mahati Swara Sagar team up. The music of ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’ is not that addictive but it’s not bad either. The picturization of these songs is quite good. The camera work is amazing and it makes the movie look beautiful. The background score is passable, while the production values are very good in this movie. Anish Krishna who is disappointing the audience since ‘Ala Ela’ has done a decent job this time. He showed glimpses of his talent in the comedy department, but his story and script were a bit of a chore. His presentation is good and the movie would have been even better if the drama and love parts had been done more carefully.

Verdict: An Acceptable Romantic Artist

Rating: 2.5/5
