Actor Dhruva Vayu has already grabbed attention with the film ‘Kerosine’. Lately all the heroes are promoting themselves by holding a megaphone. In this category, actor Dhruva Vayu is the hero of the film ‘Kalinga’ directed by himself with a different concept. This film has already been released in many places. Let us see in our film review if this film which is releasing on the 13th has pleased the audience.
Kalinga story:
‘Kalinga’ begins in a village called Kalinga, which lives up to the title. There, Linga (Dhruva Vayu) lives by drinking beer in the village. The village elder (Aadukalam Naren), his brother Bali, has his eye on a woman who is in the village. Linga loves Paddu (Pragya Nayan) since childhood. She also loves him deeply. Meanwhile, the village elder brother is being victimized by Paddu. In this context, he puts a condition for him to marry his daughter. He says that if he releases the mortgaged farm, he will marry his daughter. With this he writes a place for Linga in the organization. There will be a curse on that institution. What is that? In this context, what are the norms in that town? The story of this film is about what kind of situations Linga faced due to those norms.
Dhruva Vayu acted as the hero in this film and chose a theme that suits him. Moreover, he has also cultivated the story he wrote on screen. It must be said that he was almost successful in that. He wrote a different story and executed it with the same brilliance on screen. Especially in some scenes he took the film somewhere with RR. The audience gets immersed in the story within a few minutes of starting the film. Especially the curse of the village. He has well presented the inconveniences caused by crossing the outskirts of the village. Why do people die, especially those who have crossed the city borders? Is there any supernatural power behind this? It has to be seen on screen if humans have done all this on purpose. Especially the camera work after RR for this film is amazing. Even if the second half of the film has a good grip on the first half, it cannot continue with the same momentum. Overall, it is good. The production values are amazing.
As for the actors…
if the actor himself turns director… Dhruva Vayu impressed with his performance. He gave expressions like a very experienced actor. He showed his mastery in the action sequence. Pragya Nayan, who played the heroine, is okay. It would have been nice if the villains had done more of their villainy. The rest of the actors excelled to the best of their ability.
Punch Line… Stunning suspense thriller ‘Kalinga’…
Kalinga Movie Rating: 3/5
