K.G.F: Chapter 2 is an upcoming Indian Kannada language film. The film K.G.F:2 was written and directed by Prashanth Neel. It was produced by Hombale Films. The film is the second part of the two-part series. K.G.F:2 is the sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F.:1. The film stars actor Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj.
Neel used the same equipment as in the first film. The director of photography was Bhuvan Gowda. Ravi Basrur wrote the score for the film. The film had a budget of ₹100 crores. This makes it the most expensive Kannada language film as of March 2022. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in Kannada on April 14, 2022. The dubbed versions of the film in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil languages, and Malayalam will also premiere at that time.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 was originally scheduled to be released date in theaters on October 23, 2020. However, the release date has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. In January 2021, the filmmakers announced that it will be released in theaters on July 16, 2021. Again it was postponed for the same reason. In August 2021, the new release date has been announced as April 14, 2022. It will be released in Kannada and dubbed versions of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil & Malayalam languages.
