After Wipro-Infosys, THIS company is delaying the incorporation of new students
Many cases of delayed incorporation have been reported at companies such as Wipro, Infosys, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, and Capgemini.
Tech Hiring practices have been a topic of much discussion in the tech industry for some time. One after another, cases like this are occurring where freshmen have been chosen, but their induction has been put on hold. As a result, successful candidates are increasingly worried about the future. After Infosys-Wipro and HCL Tech, Accenture is the newest company to be added to this list.
According to the Business Today report, after Infosys-Wipro-HCL Tech, cases of delayed onboarding of selected candidates are now coming to light at Accenture as well. Some first-year students expressed their pain when talking about their condition. He said neither the company nor the university placement office is paying attention to his problem. According to the report, multinational IT company Accenture is facing accusations of delaying the onboarding of new employees.
A recently passed-out student from an engineering college told Business Today that he was selected as an associate software engineer (ASE) at Accenture through on-campus placement in November 2021. This year(2022), selected candidates the offer letter was also received. in the last week of April 2022. But despite this, the incorporation takes place from time to time. He said that he was recently given a date of September 30 for this, but again it was extended to next year, i.e. 2023.
This is not the only case related to Accenture. Another candidate said: ‘I received the offer letter on April 25 this year and all my documents were also approved, but I have not received my joining date yet.’ Another fade said his join date was cancelled just two days before he joined and was extended. After getting the incorporation date, I packed my bags and booked tickets to go to the new city. But just two days before joining, the company cancelled the date again.
Describing his ordeal to Aaj Tak’s affiliate channel Business Today, one of those candidates said he had turned down offers from companies like TCS, Wipro, and HCL Tech to get a job at Accenture. But seeing this kind of IT industry situation here, I have become depressed. Candidates who fell victim to this reluctance from tech companies said the college placement cell should have helped us through this difficult time, but they’re not giving any answers. A recently passed-out graduate from Galotti’s University, Greater Noida said that I was selected through the campus placement cell, but now they don’t respond to my complaints either.
Before Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, and Capgemini have also seen several instances of delayed onboarding recently. Not only was there a delay in joining, but the company dealt a huge blow to newcomers by refusing to join after the offer letter was delivered. While new employees are facing problems due to this attitude from tech companies, on the other hand, worries about the future have also increased in them.
