2 students go missing at Vizag Beach

Vizag Beach: When one of the students, Surya, disappeared while taking a bath, a second student, Sai, went looking for him, but could not be traced thereafter either.

Two students were reported missing in Visakhapatnam after a group of seven college students visited Bheemli beach this morning. Helicopters, speedboats, and Indian Navy divers were deployed while conducting search and rescue operations.

According to reports, seven students, who were allegedly late for the university, decided to visit Bheemli beach around 11:30 a.m. Four of them went to the sea to bathe.

However, one of the students, Surya, disappeared while bathing in the sea.

Fearing that Surya may have drowned, another student, Sai, went looking for him, but could not be traced thereafter either.

The rest of the students called the police for help.

Soon, the Indian Navy personnel aboard the INS Kalinga were informed and they rushed to search for the two missing students.

Navy helicopters, boats, and swimmers began scouring the sea in search of Surya and Sai, but they could not be tracked until the latest reports came in.
